Dark Druid says... Out of Character: I thought the bow issue was fine, since elves get proficiency.
Avan doesn't mind the darkness - his ears should be sensitive enough to hear anyone approach. But he relents and looks for a camping position on a hill.

Out of Character: Yeah, time to bug out Ali I should think. We could have taken one hob together barring horrible luck, even captured the bugger and… asked him for information on where their main group is. But five or more could beat us down while hardly trying.
