Out of Character: Don't worry about slowing the party down. Champ (My riding dog) and Albrecht do a good enough job of that on their own. Good to have along two newbies, now Albrecht doesn't have to be the greenhorn anymore . As we are a large party, I would think you should catch up level-wise pretty quickly. KNtoran usually just gives blanket XP split evenly between all who participate.
In Character: As the most recent [New person] to the group before the two humans joined, Albrecht catches them up on group dynamics and party roles. He tells them that Zork is the defacto leader, and Krusten is more or less the muscle, Faerydae is the healer and Avan and himself are druids who support the front-line. He then asks what skills the two humans bring to the party?
Out of Character: Nice to have Icon back and an added compliment of two others, we should make some big inroads but we will probably need to watch out for the newbies as they are vulnerable.
Out of Character: I think it will be nice to get passed these camps by just having a routine post of what everyone is doing as its always the same thing. Maybe the spot checks are needed but then again some of us have really good rolls and nothing happens.
Out of Character: I don't think there is any way around it because rolls are needed. Its kind of a good time to get to know everyone even though its a delay from our objectives.
In Character: Zork raises his hand to stop the party from moving on anymore. He retreats and counsels with them… "Do we go further with this fog or do we wait til it gets better?"
"I think the fog is to our advantage," Avan replies. "With concealment like this we need not fear archers. Perhaps we can attempt guerrilla tactics? Engage one or a few of them in melee and when they are downed, retreat. To that end we should stay on horseback.
"However if we attempt that, we need to know their setup. A few of our sneakiest should approach first and report back their defences. Undoubtedly they are trying to set a trap or a wall.
"Who has a combat trained mount? Mine is, but I'm not particularly adept at riding any faster than our usual walk."

"While we may not fear archers what about those who are archers and cannot see their target, what will be the point of that?"
