Out of Character: Just so everyone knows, this is the party thread, so the Dungeon Master won't see any of the actions you've posted here (ICon and Daishain, particularly). I have been asking and don't think turning the wagon around on the road is a viable option, so we should probably go to the top and make our turn around there. I will post in the main thread of Albrecht proposing the idea, and it seems Bastion and Ildrahil agree. Avan and Krusten are engaged in their own actions, but need to post where the Dungeon Master can see them.
Bastion nods with some satisfaction as they return to the lower campsite, "Right then, our foe has proven rather cunning, I suggest we endeavor to avoid being caught like that again. We have two days to plan, observe, and prepare."
"I suggest we avoid actually camping here, and instead try to position ourselves where we can catch others coming from the fort and turn the tables on them instead. That likely means abandoning the wagon for now. So be it. If we cannot keep an eye on the thing, we can take out the chests of holding at least, and take them to our true camp, those items have the most value."
"Would you consider it worthwhile to create a decoy camp at this place? If they find it they'll focus on the wrong location for a time, possibly long enough for our own ambush."

Albrecht is relieved that they don't face any danger in their turn-around. As Bastion lays out a plan, Albrecht listens and nods along. He has a few questions, but likes the general layout of the plan, "Where should we make our true camp? I believe Avan has a spell prepared to help us leave no tracks, if we want to go into the woods a ways. I think leaving a fire here burning and some scuffed ground to look like we slept on it would be best. But it will be difficult to carry these chests. Also, I don't think the driver will want to come with us. Should we just send him and the wagon back to town, and we can return to get them if we need them? I think after hearing of our dealings with the goblins, minotaurs, and wizard to the east of town, the driver wouldn't dare cross us."
In Character: Krusten's arms are folded. She has a stern look on her face. She wants blood and this group is keeping her back from it, but she only asks what the plan is at the moment without revealing her feelings.
(Continuing the conversation from leader thread)
"The night of the new moon was chosen to minimize the possibility of advance warning. Our approach is likely doomed if they spot us before we're almost on top of them."
"That said, we were also planning on remaining unobserved until then. The possibility of tonight being the best time to strike has indeed grown, though I would be more comfortable in that assessment if I knew this enemy better."
"I am willing either way, so long as we are not approaching the place in daylight."
Out of Character: Okay, recap. We move tonight or tomorrow night depending on which we think is more likely to produce good results. Frankly I'm unsure.
We have one potion of fly, two potions of gaseous form, and a rod that can turn into a 50' ladder. Kn just confirmed Deanna cannot cast fly or an equivalent, which means we have at least one person who will be outside the fort until we can secure their entry by gate or ladder.
My suggestion:
-Bastion takes the Fly potion, carries Deanna and Albrecht, and basically drops down on the tower from above.
-Krusten and Ildrahil take the Gas potions and do the same.
-The latter pair attempt to infiltrate the gatehouse itself while still insubstantial in order to drop the drawbridge and then regroup. If for some reason that doesn't pan out, they fall back to the others before the potion wears off.
-Deanna, Albrecht, and Krusten start using the tower's high ground to good effect, wreaking havoc from above. Summon Swarm spells should do well for Albrecht in this regard, as from the tower he can cast it such that we won't be a target for the swarm.
-Bastion and Ildrahil work together to keep the interior of the tower clear, and let the prior three not worry about their backs.
-Avan would be our second wave. Once the gatehouse is down and the enemy good and nuked, he comes riding in over the drawbridge with the animal companions to help overwhelm the rest
Between the anklet of transposition and the rod, Bastion can bust or bypass any doors Ildrahil can't pick. I suggest that Krusten be our mage killer, put arrows in the eyes of any enemy spellcasters that show themselves. Given that they're responsible for the hawk's death, I don't think she'll object.
Thoughts?
