Out of Character: Since Krusten seems to want to move with the majority and Albrecht and Bastion are wanting to wait to hit them with the strongest attack we can. Avan is away from his computer, and Ildrahil is all for attacking, but it is effectively 2 on 1 against him. I say we wait for the extra day and attack on the new moon as planned. I'll go update Albrecht's thoughts on this in the other thread. Hopefully we can make it a whole day without being ambushed.
EDIT: Well disregard my previous stuff. After reading the main thread, it sounds like we should just go for it. I would change a few of the 0 and 1st level spells, but my 2nd level spells are offensive enough already. I think we can make it work.
Out of Character: Yea the plan seems to be for Bastion to get the potion of fly and haul Krusten, Ildrahil, and Deanna up to the top. Then Albrecht to use the potion of gaseous form (Or Avan, but he isn't here) and make it up there too. Whoever is in gaseous form goes down and tries to get the gates open while the others attack and kill as many as possible. Any better thoughts?
Out of Character: Weight limits are not going to let me carry three. Max 260 pounds, everyone other than Albrecht is going to weigh over 100 pounds, and I have my own gear to carry too. Fortunately, we had 2 potions of gaseous form, not just one.
What I had laid out before was for Bastion to carry our first two casters, Albrecht and Deanna in this case, to the top of the tower. Krusten and Ildrahil take the Gas potions and attempt to infiltrate the gatehouse to drop the drawbridge. If the attempt looks unlikely, they withdraw back to the others while still incorporeal and we slug it out another way.
We use the tower as our high ground, letting Krusty and the mages pummel them from above.
Avan was to be our backup, riding in with the animal companions over the drawbridge. But if he doesn't show up soon…
I wonder if Kn would be willing to abstract his involvement? Say something about him being too engaged at the gates to interfere directly, but hey, he and his are distracting several of the mooks.
If we don't have access to Avan, I wonder if we can make it look/sound like there is a small army about to charge through that newly opened gate?

Out of Character: Right, sorry about that Daishain, I had forgotten about the amendment we made a few weeks back. I am good with this plan. I will hate not having Krama to support us, but she can come over with Avan and slug it out at the gate. I think having Avan come up on his panther while summoning as many griffons as he can would be pretty intimidating.
As for specifics, do you think it would be better for Albrecht to play a more support roll and just create tough terrain for our enemies and let Bastion and Deanna do the actual damage dealing, or should Albrecht summon some damage dealing creatures and slug it out with the enemy toe-to-toe? I think both are pretty viable options, and I can switch in the middle if needed, I just want to have an initial plan for when we start. Maybe start with some battlefield control to help line up enemies and then switch to offensive and taking out whoever he can?
Okay then, I think that is settled. I am going to post up on getting prepped for the assault, if there are to be any changes, now is the time.
As for Albrecht, I would suggest using BFC to help group enemies up for Deanna's fireballs. Once that peters out, Use Summon Swarm or whatever other summons you can manage to help hunt down the stragglers.

Out of Character: So let me understand what is happening… you want me with the initial assault or not? If you don't have Krusten there it really limits the number of the enemy you can quickly down.
The only person not present for the initial assault will be Avan.
Current plan:
Bastion, Deanna, and Albrecht reach the tower top. The latter two carried by the former, who will be taking the fly potion.
Ildrahil and Krusten should arrive at the same time, having taken the gaseous form potions.
While still incorporeal, I was thinking the latter two could slip into the gatehouse, which should be just below the roof the rest are landing on, and surprise assault that room. But that's going to be up to your judgement.
After the initial maneuvering, I figured Krusten, Deanna, and Albrecht would work together rain literal and metaphorical fire from above, while Bastion and Ildrahil either joined in or covered their backs as the situation demands.
If you have any suggestions or concerns, by all means chime in.
