"I"ll meet you both at dinner", Lionel tells both the Duke and Natasha simply"¦ but after moment of pause, Lionel turns more fully towards Natasha. He walks towards her, gives an elegant bow, and briefly kisses Natasha hand. He asks, looking into her eyes, "May I by chance learn your story in more detail, Lady Natasha, later tonight", giving her one of his warm smiles.
ooc: I"m going to go with my former idea and am going to try and gain more details from the Duke, and now also Natasha. I roll for Charisma; 20, Wisdom; 23, and Intelligence 16.

Namdar puts all other concerns out of his head and focuses on the hooded figure, as he creeps forward as well hidden as he possibly can, planning his sequence of events.

Hopefully the rider can be unseated without much trouble, and held at swordpoint if necessary, without having to deal with a big fight or chase and such. The half-orc prepares to, if the horse is slow enough and close enough, leap out and grab the horse's bridle or whatever controlling object is handy, or if the horse is going faster, surprise the horse with lots of noise and yelling and motioning, hopefully making it buck off its rider.

Namdar rubs his first two fingers and thumbs together in anticipation of action, trying to keep his emotions calm and nerves steady, as he prepares to find out exactly who this mysterious figure is and what needs to be done about him. He realizes they may also need to do something about this Grok "person".

He wonders about the rest of the party, and the wisdom of this course. He just had to believe this was the right thing to do, and they were going to cut through a lot of trouble and time that innocents could be attacked, even if it was dangerous for the group - they knew they risks, but it's one thing to say that but another to be responsible for them nonetheless. He was pleasantly surprised so far with Ryorst, but the proof would be in the upcoming pudding of battle so to speak. Oliron seemed to fill in as head of the party adequately, from what he could tell, but wasn't sure it was really what he wanted. Skedvick's wanderlust and itchy feet were showing, moreso than the other members', though that was saying a lot as most everyone was ready to "get on with it" - still, maybe the ranger could work his trade around the Duke's if necessary, to keep an eye on things, if the party needed to proceed somewhere else... It would be so hard to let go of the disturbingly quiet woodsman.

And Lionel - what trouble could that young man be getting himself into... The half-orc could only guess, but it had something to do with royalty and glittery dishes and lacey and vibrantly colored clothing, like all royal and noble issues. Al Sattar could play the part for a certain improvised need, for a certain amount of time, of a stately fop, with pretentious exaggerated etiquette and inane chatter, but he was ill at ease with it overall and not cut out for any direct or long role in that world. Desert dunes or lush hillocks were one thing, cold stone rooms filled with even colder self-important pretenders, were another.

ooc: Current Facts and Evidences the Group Knows
There are many facts Lionel doesn't knows yet, some only Namdar currently knows, some Lionel currently knows, and some Ryorst needs to tell group, exc. The group needs to gather everything together, and talk about what they know.

From the Farm and from Larry's words
"¢ The farmer Larry Hempstraw is the half brother of the Duke.
"¢ The Duke stops by to see Larry's farm at times and to make sure Larry and his farm are doing well.
"¢ He has seen no orcs other than you and your companions he does not look at you at all while saying this.
"¢ Larry said that he locks the buildings to keep prowlers away from his stored goods.
"¢ Larry carries a key (master key?) that can unlock the front door of his house.
"¢ Larry seems to have a young serving lady in his service, whose is name Lu(?).
"¢ For a farmer Larry is very well to do, (real glass, a nicely carved and polished large oak table, silver serving tray and silver goblets, also wine).
"¢ Larry seems to care a lot about the Duke thinking he was hospitable to a royal.
"¢ Larry cannot tell you much about the duke's plans or visions or anything about orcs.
"¢ Larry told the group that he does not like orcs and he is glad that the duke has patrols out to see to it that orcs do not bother the farmers.
"¢ Larry denied the "rumors" about farmers being attacked and their families killed or farms burnt.
"¢ Larry insisted that the duke's soldiers patrolled the area and make sure that all is quiet.
"¢ In fact Larry said he saw a patrol not a day ago (at that time of last meeting).
"¢ Larry said the sergeant even made a point to see how Larry was doing and checking with him to see if there was any activity around they should know about.
"¢ On the north east end of his fence line you can see a clear trail leading off to the north and east.
"¢ The Dukes stronghold is a two days walk on this trail from Larry's farm.
"¢ The Duke's men wear purple and gold on their shields.
"¢ Larry said he did notice that seem to be less travelers headed north these days
"¢ Skedvick found orc tracks leading off the road north of the farm headed east to a spot just north of the farms house. The tracks lead back west to the roadway from there. This is where the stump is.
"¢ There were other tracks leaving the road headed west deeper in the forest but not many, it suggested that the majority of the orcs were still traveling north following the road.

From Patrol, on the way, in and around Keep
"¢ Patrol told the group they haven't seen orcs or heard of no orcs south and west and south and east of the Manor.
"¢ The Patrol also said they don't patrol any further west than Larry's farm, nor do they patrol due west or north of the manor as the Duke has forbidden it.
"¢ Men patrol along the walls of the Keep.
"¢ The walls are 50 feet high and the four corners are wide.
"¢ The Keep has four strong walls and is of square built. The four corners are built out with what looks to be Ballista and even a catapult on the rampart.
"¢ The Stronghold seems well maintained and well financed due to the number of soldiers the group sees.
"¢ From the above facts at least Namdar and Lionel see the Keep is built for war.
"¢ There are many black smiths hard at work on weapons and armor.
"¢ There seems to be a lot of supplies in this keep.
"¢ Everyone Namdar talks to had nothing real nice to say about the Duke but also nothing real bad.
"¢ The people in the strong hold seem to mistrust strangers.
"¢ The main manor is part of the back or North wall.
"¢ The manor raises four stories and looks like it can be defended if the main keeps walls are compromised.
"¢ The keep is not adorned with riches.
"¢ Most of the furniture in the rooms you pass by are serviceable and nondescript.
"¢ The keep has enough to be comfortable but shows that comfort is not the goal.
"¢ There are a few tapestries and other hangings.
"¢ To Lionel's eye the keep seems rather bleak
"¢ Lionel is escorted by an officer by the name of Captain Sorlanth.

A boy of 12 or 13 that shovels out the stalls of the horses tells Namdar this;
"¢ The people in this keep really do not like orc or even half orcs.
"¢ The orcs have pretty much taken over the north and west, and the Duke is doing all he can to maintain some safe passages.
"¢ The Duke's stronghold is still standing because of payments made to the orcs to keep it here.
"¢ With regular patrols out to the south and east only, they are having a hard time keeping the orcs out of those areas.
"¢ The Duke sent a group of thirty well armed troops to the Duke's keep west of here two months ago, and weren't heard of again.
"¢ Once a week the orcs come a calling and demand a higher price each time.
"¢ The people hope the duke keeps them all safe and gets rid of the evil creatures.

Observations and facts found inside of Keep
"¢ There are a few tapestries and other obvious shows of wealth in the Dukes meeting area.
"¢ The seats have cushions on them and there are silver candle holders holding most of the candles.
"¢ The Duke sat on a small raised Dias.
"¢ The Duke seems about middle aged, and is flanked by a elegantly dressed lady.
"¢ Slightly behind the Duke stood a rather large man that had a great sword over his left shoulder. The man is wearing chain mail, and to his side is another man that is wearing a deep hood.
"¢ There were a few archers fanning out along the walls.
"¢ The Duke full name a currently know is Duke Thermwoods
"¢ The Duke is aware that there is serious problem with the orcs to the north and west of his Keep.
"¢ The Duke seems unset and saddened at his inability to help the farmers.
"¢ The Dukes says that he has petitioned the King but that he has not received an answer as of yet.
"¢ The Duke says he is recruiting more swords in the hopes of taking a more direct action to the current problems.
"¢ The Duke, the "Adviser", and another man all have a very pronounced reaction at the request to for everyone to show their faces.
"¢ The lady (Lionel knows her name is Natasha) does not seem to notice the request.
"¢ Lionel gets the hint that there is more to the story than the Duke is letting on.
"¢ The Duke's "Adviser" does not wish to show his face.
"¢ The Duke advised Lionel that he does not need to go to the King unless he feels it is something Lionel wishes to do.
"¢ The capital city is a three week journey.
"¢ The Duke does not seem to have any suspicion of Lionel and his group as of yet, as he shows no hesitation to the request for Lionel's bodyguard to meet the group after meeting and for Lionel to meet him alone for a private meeting.
"¢ The lady's name is Natasha, and she is the Duke's foster daughter.

From the orc group and also the hooded figure's words
"¢ The Duke is currently paying the orcs 3000 gold.
"¢ The orcs plan to hit the north farms again on the morrow. They plan to rape another of the women to send a clear message to the town.
"¢ The hooded figure is work with the orcs, with or without the Duke knowing this.
"¢ The hooded figure is shown to be clearly strong, and by his words suggests that he could replace the current orc (leader?), Grok, without trouble.

From Lionel's current discussion (only Lionel knows these facts/evidences for now).
"¢ Lady Natasha has an uncle by the names of Koven.
"¢ The Duke says that Lady Natasha and her Uncle Koven both advise him.
"¢ The Duke is a widower, and says he misses his wife greatly and that she too was one of his advisers.

ooc: I will commend you Thomaslee you don't mix matters when it comes to getting all the facts out. I'm impressed.

* Krusten is wondering why the conversation between Oliron and the hooded figure is taking so long. She thinks to herself... Were it not such a situation as this an elf would have proven to have done a better job. She shakes her head, let's out a sigh and then waits as her arms grow tired from holding two notched arrows in her bow. *

Wonders what is behind the hood.

Somehow now feels the sun shining on him even though it is night.

A bead of sweat rolls down his brow runs into his scar and off his chin.

* Oliron feels the exact motions it would take to have his blade in hand *

Lionel asks the Duke, "Could you tell me where the dining hall is, and might I also ask, could I travel the keep a bit".
ooc: Everyone, I would suggest two things. One let him go, or two see it the saved attacks will stop him (Like the critical hit keg of wine). If you wish JPatt you can take over.
