He tells you his name is slickhide. Yes there is a settlement about three days north of the swamp. He can lead you out of the swamp for saving his life but he needs to regain some more health first. He does tell you that your far off the path. It will take them three days of travel in the swamp to get you back on the main path.

I thank him for his help and offer him food and water from my rations, then get some mutch needed sleep.

* Tobo is glad to hear that the swamp ends at some point, also he now has a guide he can trust *

SA: Once he is rested and healed up a little I will go with him to town.

You rest for the day and then again that night. As the dawn approaches he is able to move about some. He tells you he will be right back and dives under the water. You see him surface briefly about a 100 feet out.

Tobo is finishing his breakfast while watching Slickhide dive, reappearing in the distance.

ooc: I wish to have eaten the 10' piece of snake. I am out of rations by my count with water for one more day.

Solo Post Play Dragons and Dungeons

You look around for a while until you have found enough dry wood to make a fire. You skin the snake body and start to cook the snake meat over the fire. The smell of the cooked meat makes your mouth water.

Just as your about to remove the snake from the fire you see slickhide emerge from the water along with eight other lizard men. You see four of them pull small cross bows up and aim them in your direction. With out warning they fire their cross bows as the other four rush forward with weapons drawn.

What do you do now?

Tobo is sure he cannot win such a fight and is hurt by the lizard mens actions. On instinct he drops down into a prone position curling up, wishing his death to be swift.

You hear a couple cries as the bolts hit home followed by a clash of weapons against each other. Slickhide come over to where you lay curled up and asks if your harmed. Seeing no injuries he lets out a small growl and throws himself into the melee. As you look up you see a group of Goblins have somehow managed to almost sneak up on you. IF it was not for slickhide and his friends the eight goblins would have taken you captive or worse.

Tobo still in shock hops up longsword drawn. He shaking a bit but tries to compose himself. Tobo focuses on a goblin begins to be filled with pride of his new found friendship.
