D&D Play By Post Solo - Page 23

Tobo tries to find a fellow halfling who is standing still long enough for him to question. He attempts to find out information of local thieves guilds. Who is who and what one is powerful, what one is merciful, just general details on them.

You spot a halfling as he calmly picks a pocket. After he has moved to a dark alley way you approach him. He is a bit startled at first but as you start to ask specific questions he will take you to a cellar. He leads you to a doorway. He tells you all you seek is beyond it. He turns away and bids you farewell. He is soon gone. No answering any other questions. Turning to the door you find it locked tight.

You listen but you do not hear anything. You look around but you do not see anyone. You check for traps but do not find anything. Finally you simply pick the lock. The door opens and you see stairs leading down.

You open the door and you hear a gong go off on the other side. As you peer inside you see a room with about 30 people in it. They all are looking directly at you. Seated in the middle of the group is a older human with a sizeable gut. He is relaxed upon a rather large over stuffed throne. As you step into the room the halfling that lead you to the door comes up to you. " we just can not let person find out place until they prove themselves worthy of entering. Welcome to the Guild."
