Rockman18 your able to move closer after night has fallen. As you get closer you can see they have a good fire going making sure that they can see the roadway. You see two of them sitting by the fire as they cook a meal. Looking around you can not see the third one from where you are now.

I decide that I would like to creep around until I can locate the third man and am in range with my crossbow. I will try and make a surprise shot at him and then deal with the other two.

Move silently 1D20+7=14

Attack with crossbow 1D20+3=12

Damage 1D8=6, in case it hit

Rockman18: As your sneaking around you hear a noise coming from behind you. You look that way nd see the third highway man coming towards you. Leveling your crossbow at the guy you pull the trigger. The crossbow hits him in the leg he screams in pain and his two companions jump up and head in his direction.

I drop my crossbow as soon as I hear his scream and start running towards him while unsheathing my axe. I am going to attack him with it as soon as I get into melee range. Hopefully I will be able to dispatch him before his friends join the fight.

Attack 1D20+4=18
Damage 1D8+3=11

OOC: I had a gut feeling that was going to happen when I saw that roll come up.

Faerra turns to look at Maddie, concern in her eyes. "Now, I may not know much about the society around here, but if there's money on your head, people are just going to keep going after you. We don't even know who wants you, or why, which is even worse. We handled those thugs earlier, and we could probably even handle the villagers who come en masse. But sooner or later the money will attract more experienced, more powerful hunters, and it's only a matter of time before they become too much for us to handle. It might be best if... If we leave the area. If all they know is that the target is a dark elf from this area, then if we leave, and claim anywhere else as where we came from, you should be safe. I hope..."

Rentok: Maddie looks at you and then at John. You can see some tears welling up in her eyes as she tells John that she does not wish to see him, his family and their farm suffer any more because of her. SHe turns to you and says we will leave her this night. John looks at Maddie and gives her a hug. He thought she would want to leave to protect them and has gotten her some gear before she leaves. He hands her a filled back pack with a sleeping fir attacked to it. He then pulls out a large sack and hands it to you. Inside you see it is filed with trail rations. About three weeks worth. He then hands Maddie a quiver with 40 arrows. HE wishes you all save journey. Lastly He pulls out a cloak and wraps it around Maddie. With it being green in color you can see she can hide easily in the woods.

Rockman18: You quickly finish off the highway man as you chop his neck with your axe. Pulling your axe out a arrow whizzes past your shoulder. Looking back you see the other two still running your way.

After I finish him off I grab at my javelin as I turn and throw it if my target is in my range then will rush at them to get in melee range hoping that my fast movement will make any follow up shots hard enough to make that I won't get hit. Once I get into melee range I will rage and be attacking with my axe.

OOC: I am going to roll a bunch of rolls that I think are relevant so if I am wrong don't hesitate to let me know.

Dex roll for the turn and throw 1D20+2=21

Attack roll for the javelin 1D20+3=14
Damage for javelin 1D6=3

Attack roll for battleaxe in rage 1D20+8=24, 1D20+8=18
Damage rolls for battleaxe 1D8=6, 1D8=5

OOC: The second axe attack was for the guy that was targeted by the javelin.

Rockman18: You tun and pull out your javelin. You throw it at the first guy running at you and it hits him in the gut. He lets out a groan ad falls to the ground. The second guy pulls up and shoots a couple arrows your way. You are hit for 5 points of damage. You quickly close the distance and attack the third one. You kill him with little problem.
