As soon as I have dispatched the final highway man I will try and mend my wounds as best I can. After that I will drag the bodies up to the camp and rest for the night using there fire to cook a meal and sleeping under the stars. After I wake up I will search the camp for any valuables and make provisions to get the bodies back to the town to the authorities and see if there is any sort of reward or not.

Rockman18. You drag the third and first bodies back up to the camp. When you get to the second guy to retrieve your javelin you find him sitting there with sword out and he swings at you. You are able to dispatch him after he makes a couple more swings with his sword. You quickly drag him back to the camp where you feel drained of energy after the rage has runs its course. You spend the night after eating the meal they had prepared.

The next morning dawns clear and bright. Searching the camp you find a horse and a cart behind the main tent. You can see a track leading of to the west. In the tent you find supplies that could last three days for three men. Since it is only you now you have nine days of provisions. You find a small chest with a mixture of coins in it adding up to about 40 gold.

Faerra thanks John quietly before offering an arm to Maddie so that they might be off.

"I'm afraid I don't know where we should go TO. If we could find a town or city where non-humans are welcome, then maybe we could live near there. I could work as an armoursmith, or a lumberjack..."

After I wake up the next morning I feel refreshed and glad that the situation didn't turn out the opposite way. After I get the camp searched I will break down the camp and search the bodies to make sure the don't have any valuables on them and then get them and all the tents, supplies and the chest loaded into the cart. I will also go and retrieve the crossbow and javelin that I dropped last night. After I get it all loaded I will head back into town to make the authorities know that the situation has been handled and to try and sell any of the extra weapons the robbers had except one of the bows and some arrows if they seem to be of good quality. After I do that I will head back to where the camp was and follow the track that lead off to the west and see where that leads.

OOC: I wouldn't mind keeping the horse and cart if it wouldn't become an issue with jamming the story up down the line. If it's an issue I will sell them when I am in town, whatever you decide is fine.

Rockman18: You take the weapons and equipment along with the bodies back to town. The village mayor offers you a reward of 10 gold for your trouble for removing these highwaymen from the north road. Now traffic can move freely back and forth again. The weapons and equipment you sale at the local chandlery for 20 gold. You kep the horse, cart, a short bow and two quivers of 20 arrows. You also have a four person tent, a week of oats for the horse. You soon head back to the north looking for the track to the west. About mid-afternoon you are back up where had departed from this morning. The trail leads due west on the great plain as the land rises and falls.

Rentok: Maddie looks at you and says we can head north and east through these mountains. I know there are some dwarven and other villages located in this range. I do not know if they welcome strangers but any where is better than here if it saves my family.

As I reach the head of the trail I saw earlier I stop and look around taking in the beauty of it all and start to make my way following the trail. Looking forward to any adventures that present themselves I keep my eyes up, constantly scanning my surroundings for any sign of life.

Faerra nods and turns back to John one last time. "You should head down to the village tomorrow and tell them Maddie was kidnapped by an orc. It's close enough to the truth they might believe it." She turned back to Maddie and nodded, still speaking to John, "We ought to head out then... I... Thanks, for everything. I'll do everything I can to keep her safe..."

Rentok: John comes up to you and wraps you in a hug. You hear him tell you thanks for everything before letting you go. HE looks at both of you and tells you to get going. He hopes that one day you come back and see them once again. Stay safe and good luck. He tearfully hugs and kisses Maddie goodbye. He will stand on his porch watching you both as you leave until he can no longer been seen by either one of you.

Rockman18: You look around at the top of the rise and take in the small grove of trees, the inland sea and the great plains that stretch out to the north, south and west. Turning onto the western path you move along watching all that is going on around you. You have not moved more than two hours when as you come to the top of a rise you see the path headed down to the base of the next hill and into a dark cave.
