Rockman18: You stumble into the cave making a lot of noise. Lucky for you there is no one else in the cave. You soon make it to the campfire that is burning. You see the cave open up around a corner just on the other side of the fire. The cave ends after about 20 feet. Inside you see three chests and some sacks piled there. Next to the fire is a pot cooling with food inside. You were able to bind your wounds but you do not get any hit points back as you do not have healing spells or potions.
When I discover that no one is in the cave I go and get my horse and cart and tie them up outside the cave. I search thoroughly to make sure that there are no hidden doors or secret passages and feeling confident that there are none I sit down and eat whatever is in the pot and then check the chests and sacks for anything worthwhile. After that I will go ahead and rest for the night.

I rest while trying to decide what I am going to do with this newfound wealth, maybe I will head back to the town and try and buy the tavern that I had lunch in, maybe a house that I can use as a base to crash at. That way I am not trying to either hide or carry around it all, and I don't want to buy a ton of shiny new gear either. After I wake up in the morning I will get it loaded up in the cart and try and hide it as much as I can and make some inquiries in town, if nothing else I will try and buy a house and then hide the money in there.
Rockman18: In the chests you find a total of 3,000 gold, 300 platinum, 4,500 silver, and 5,000 copper. There are 17 pieces of jewelry and 13 gems.
When you get into town they do not have any homes you can buy here but in the next city north they know there are some buildings that people can buy. It is a five day journey by horse and wagon. Or you can head south and head to the larger city which is a two week journey. The tavern is not for sale.
OOC: I'm wondering, KNtoran, if you missed my reply, or if it's one of those IRL delays since nothing happens in the campaign for a while. Or were you waiting on something more from me?
IC:
Faerra continues to walk in awkward silence unless Maddie says something, or something happens.
I will see if I can manage to hide it in a manner that would be difficult to spot and decide to head north to the nearer town. I will leave all the coppers and a couple hundred silvers at the tavern for a running tab for myself. All the while I will try and keep a good lookout for any sort of ambush.
Rentok: I missed your reply. The two of you walk for a few days talking about the weather and the area your transversing. It is about midday when you top a rise and see a group of goblins wandering toward you. you both are partially covered by trees and shrubbery so they have not seen you.
Rockman18: You leave a rather large deposit in the tavern and head north. The day is well over half over and you soon find yourself outside as the sun sets.
