I was considering getting the Trappings of the Beast set from Complete Champion (Armor of the beast, mantle of the beast, ring of the beast) but I am worried about the limits of the enhancements on named items. Would you go against convention and allow named items to be upgraded - mostly hoping for the bonuses on the armor and attack rolls (From the mantle) to get better.
Apart from that, Avan is looking for:
Druid's Vestment - 10000
Metamagic Rod, Extend - 11000
Metamagic Rod, Silent - 11000
Rod of Flame Extinguishing - 15000
Pearl of Power, 3rd level spell - 9000
Handy Haversack - 2000
Blindfold of True Darkness - 9000
And more things later… Edited: iCon on 5th Jul, 2017 - 9:51pm
They do not have any of the trappings of the beast but what spells or enhancements to your armor are you looking for. You can get a druids Vestment the metamagic Rod of extend spell is a normal not lessor or greater, There is no meta magic rod of silent you can get a rod of flame extinguishing. There is no pearls of power but you can get a handy haversack and a blindfold of true darkness.
I really liked the unique abilities that Armor of the Beast granted. It's normally +1 and Wild, but I was wondering if that can get upgraded further (In case I happen to find a set later)? Similarly, can the attack bonus from the Mantle of the Beast be upgraded? Or are they both static because they're named items? Edited: iCon on 6th Jul, 2017 - 1:14pm
They have been a issue for a month or so. It is three weeks by horse to get there. A mage can open a gate to get you close by two weeks but no teleportation can you to the border. The teleportation gate will get you just outside a small village that is closest to the border. It is 1,000 per person to be teleported.
On Avan's behalf, are everfull mugs available? (200gp, magic item compendium)
They are not nearly as useful or productive as a decanter of endless water, but a bunch of them should serve to supplement our water stores. (Each can produce up to 36 ounces of water per day. We'll need a lot more than one as a result, especially with the horses involved).
