Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Play By Post Questions - Page 16

KNtoran I was taking a look at the ability score area in the handbook in the basics section and I noticed that because of my high charisma I get four additional spells, but three I will not be able to use until I am of higher level. Can I add an additional level 1 spell to my spell list?

Yes you can add an additional level 1 speel to your list. If you look under the rules section you can see how I have done the additional spells per level due to high wisdom-clerics, high intelligence- wizards and high charisma for sorcerers.

You get the bonus spells that I have listed. I feel this give those with higher levels more spells and it can come in handy. Yes at first level you get 4 addition 1st level spells.

The bows you received from the Orcs are regular short bows with regular arrows doing a d6 of damage each. Remember when using a bow you get two attacks per round.

Thanks KNtoran, I have added the bow and stats. To my charachter. Please, ignore the post were I say I will assume it is a short bow.

Not to beat a dead horse on the topic of the ventriloquism spell, but for future reference I do believe the matter of language should be addressed. Orcs understand orcish, and probably some horrible form of common. Furthermore every orc tribe probably has some special dialect, as they tend to stick to thier own clans. Sort of like the way tribes of any nation tend to have thier own dialect but can still understand nearby tribes to a degree.

If you used ventriloquism to communicate anything to the orcs, you would have to speak thier language convincingly enough, or understandably enough for them to get what you are saying. Also being that you are a human wizard, sounding like a battle hardened orc commander in tone would probably be a stretch as well.

I think ventriloquism is more for situations were the person is being tricked in a more simpler manner. As to distract or misinform, such as making one look the other way to investigate a voice while you sneak by, or to call someone a name from behind. Making them think the one directly behind them actually said it. Meanwhile you watch laughingly at some poor chap getting blamed for your comment. Or possibly to send a message to an ally across the room.

Just an idea dudes, I think we should like keep actions to like every so often you know like have a date where everyone has to say their character's action by so we all aim for that. The character development and all is like cool but afterawhile you just want to actully like move on with the adventure.
