Activated Bastion's fourth gem. "The damage from your current weapon is doubled when fighting a certain enemy that you pick. The reason is due to the style and shape of the weapon being designed to inflict maximum damage to the vulnerable parts of the enemy."

Leave it as is, or do you have any modifications in mind Kn?

In regards to picking a certain enemy, I am guessing that the Ranger favored enemy choices would be an appropriate selection to pick from?

Yes pick a favored enemy similar to the rangers skill but the double damage will stand. I know ranger gets a bonus when attacking and damage but you will just get the damage bonus.

No problems there, its pretty darn good as it is, especially since his weapons base damage is rather high to begin with.

Hmm, picking undead might be a little too on the nose I would think right now tongue.gif Human would be a good second choice, but I don't like the idea of targeting them. How about Evil outsiders?

Anron, hold up, couple of things concerning your AC

You apparently have leather armor, a mithral +1 breastplate, and just activated Mage Armor. You cannot wear both of the first two, and the bonus from the spell does not stack with the regular armor. (Its main purpose is to shield arcane mages who can't wear armor at all if you're wondering.)

Your AC with regular leather, 10+2+Dexterity=15
Your AC with regular leather and Mage armor up 10+4+Dexterity=17 (Leather armor's bonus is overridden)
Your AC with a +1 breastplate, 10+6+Dexterity=19
Your AC with a +1 breastplate and mage armor, still 19.

Obviously I would suggest the second to last option by default.

P.S. You got it backwards, noncorporeal creatures like ghosts can strike through normal armor, but cannot through Mage Armor. Ghosts being around is one of the few reasons to cast mage armor when you have the standard stuff already on.

Bear in mind that ghosts might actually be around, so I'm not necessarily saying don't cast it.

I will stick with the second Last option and increase AC to 19 with breastplate +1 and mage Armor. So will still cast it if we arÄ™ going to descend. I agree, chances of bumping into a ghost or undead is substantially higher.

Um, I just remembered, theres some obscure rule in a book that's tough to find saying ghosts hate staying in a place with only one entry. So there can't be ghosts here.

Dont bother looking it up, just take my word for it tongue.gif.

Hmph, hope that cleric can manage a magic circle vs evil.
