Will my large sized jackal fit down the hole? Can two people march side by side?

Questions Post Play Dragons and Dungeons

Yes the hole is big enough for the jackal to head down the hole and for two people to walk side by side into the hole.

Huh, apparently the passage got wider going down, are those squares 5 or 10' on a side?

The passage in this area is 30 feet wide. The ceiling is about 20 feet high. Most of the time the squares will be 10 feet unless I say different.

Okay wow it really did open up.

And with that I'm stumped. I don't see a winning scenario here. We only have 2-3 characters that can stand up to a troll for any length of time, and yet must use 5 to block the passage. Weak end of the line goes down in 2 rounds and then we're surrounded by all 6 trolls. Game over, most likely without killing even 1 of the enemy

I wasn't sure we could make it without a casualty back when I thought we could face them only one at once.

You would have to go into the room to see if there is anything that is flammable in the room to burn it.

Dark Druid says...

If I were to summon creatures out of line of sight from the trolls would they not immediately charge the enemy? So I could build up a small force of elementals (Wasting a couple of rounds that the summons are alive)?
