Questions Post Play Dragons and Dungeons

I'm starting to get the hang of how things work here, I think. You guys might be able to make the forums a little more user friendly, though. I'm still a bit lost, but I guess that's what comes with a role playing game. I have a few questions, is there a way to post on here and be notified when posts are responded to or do I have to keep checking the threads to find out? Also, I have a few other questions related to creating a character, is there a way that I can talk to the DM individually (Maybe e-mail) or do I just keep posting on this thread? Sorry if I come off as annoying. I'm just trying to learn. What better way than to ask questions?

Ah. The waiting 24 hours thing to post again is a pain... Just found out that I can edit... Well, I've read the rules, F.A.Q., I've skipped around reading the threads, and all I would like now is a little bit of guidance from a human being to set me off in the right direction. Tips on gameplay that might not be in the rules would be helpful to me at the moment. For example, I'm not familiar with the "occ" or "sa" things...

I don't know what SA is but OOC means out of character. As far as tips all I can say is make a character and wait for approval. You can make one for either KNtorans game or mine. Once your character is approved the GM will introduce you into the game and there you go.

Okay. Thanks. I misspelled "ooc". I'll start making my character soon, I just want to clear up some customization things first. I'm not sure which DM I should talk to, because I'm not sure which game to join.

I would say start here in these threads of KNtoran's campaign as he is more experienced and can probably assist you better. I just noticed you were becoming frustrated that no one was responding, so I thought I would try and help.
