Dude not everyone is at level and three and up I think most of the group has level one adventurers cause they just joined so you're like probably closer to level 2 than they are. Oh yeah and welcome back.

Thanks, sorry for the mistake. I just remember reading that at least one of the members of our group is getting close to level 4. I"m still worried about falling to far behind though. I hate the fact that I couldn't stay around. computer.gif

Lionel you do not have to worry about falling behind. Characters will come and go and some will die thus there will always be a change in the characters. Once characters are over level 5 I will separate them out so they can have some other adventures that involve higher level monsters that would tear through a low level party. smile.gif

There are wands of cure light wounds for sale and potions of cure light wounds.

The wands are selling for 1,000 gp and the potions 100 gp each.

Hey, I found a reference to the rings of substance.

international QUOTE
The ring also refreshes the body and mind, so that its wearer needs only
sleep 2 hours per day to gain the benefit of 8 hours of sleep.

The answer was posted here *****, but they seem to be pulling from the 3.5 DMG.

Is that correct? Does that mean a caster can refresh all of his spells in only 2 hours, instead of 8? Does that work for clerics too?

Yes, A ring of substance works for mages and clerics. Anyone even rangers and paladins can use them.

I'm pretty sure that only affects your resting time and not your ability to refresh spells due to the recent casting limits,
Its a new rule that stops players abusing things like such, and limits creatures that don't need to sleep at all so they still need to wait before preparing new spells.

After resting, a wizard must study her spellbook to prepare any spells that day. If she wants to prepare all her spells, the process takes 1 hour.

Recent Casting Limit/Rest Interruptions:
If a wizard has cast spells recently, the drain on her resources reduces her capacity to prepare new spells. When she prepares spells for the coming day, all the spells she has cast within the last 8 hours count against her daily limit.

So you still need to wait 8 hours after casting your last spell regardless if you are sleeping or not.

Yes testsubject1 you are right. The rules do state that a full 8 hours is needed for spell memorization. I thought I posted that before, but there is still confusion. The ring allows you to only need 2 hours of rest. Spell memorizing still takes 8 hours though. Further the ring only allows that you don't need for food or drink. It doesn't give any kind of bonus to endurance.

About the chests, what kind of magical are they?

But that is a Ring of Sustenance. These rings are labeled as Rings of Substance.

Sustenance
Substance

It's close, but they're not the same. I do not know if this was just a typo, or if the DM has created them as cursed items, or just items I've never heard of perhaps.
