While that is a good suggestion I may or may not take it. I think something that her character can use and her style of play will come in handy for her *smile* She is a archer mostly. I am thinking on something that will help improve that a bit more.
Out of Character: I read you message Dungeon Master and I think its a good idea! I'll have to remember to keep that handy. I will also remember about the rolls but 1D20 + 4 should give me the same result I just have to remember these bonuses and extra when its time for combat.
Need a few details.
-Approximate straight line distance from edge of crevasse to top of the wall
-location of the ballista (I assume it is on top of the gatehouse tower, but assumptions are dangerous)
-Whether or not Deanna can cast fly or a similar spell on herself
-Total weight of Deanna and any equipment she would choose to bring for a night assault.
-Best guess on the location of the drawbridge mechanism based on our observation from the exterior.
-Any other defensive features that can be observed but aren't obvious based on the drawing.

You can see the top of the towers by the gate houses and see a bit of the courtyard between the wall and the mountain itself. You do not see any ballista. With all her gear and stuff She is about 140 lbs. She will tell you she does not have a fly spell. From the closest edge of the chasm to the top of the wall is approximately 40 feet.
