LOGAN - Emergency crews are responding to a report of an explosion at a house.

The incident was reported about 10:20 a.m. At a house near 2900 South and 2400 West. There were initial reports of multiple burn patients, possibly three, according to police dispatchers. Ref. Source 9

I hope the son survives even though he is going to be in pain for a bit. I would like to know who cleared the house the day before when a propane smell was reported. I have a feeling that someone did not do a good enough job before declaring it safe.

I am glad that there were neighbors who were home to help dig them out so they could be treated.

I saw the photograph of the aftermath. The explosion turned the house almost into 'dust'. There is nothing there to indicate that a house was once at the location. Fortunate for the survivors though.

Rather off topic, but...
That is about the only one thing I appreciate about housing locally - it is all made of brick and cement. To me most of these houses made from wood and dry walls are like a safety hazard waiting to happen. I think we have a Discussion on it in the Home Improvement Board.

I think the fact that two propane tanks exploding can reduce even a brick and mortar house to a pile. I am glad that they are even alive to talk about it.
