If no candidate wins majority then the house of representatives (mostly republican) elects the president.

They would keep recounting. It is so extremely unlikely that there could be an exact tie within that many ballots, that nobody would accept such a thing. And rightfully so.
A "statistical" tie is basically what we had in Florida in 2000. It is possible, though extremely unlikely that we could have a statistical tie in Ohio. That would be where Kerry made up the 140,000 votes, plus some, so that the final count was within a couple of thousand. As I said before, if the provisional and absentee counts are significantly different than the population at large in the state, then that is an indication of fraud.

Well, I voted for Kerry. I still wasn't surprised that Bush won. I am glad that it was a very close race, maybe it will send a message to Bush that there are a lot people who are not happy with the way he has been running the country, but I doubt it. Oh, well, at least he can't run again, thank God for term limits.
