If he REALLY started something like that China would crush him like a thingyroach. They are not stupid.

True, I will give you credit for that, did not think about China. Maybe that is why the US is not dealing with it as an urgent matter.

JB,
I believe so.

China is sitting back, enjoying the discomfort of the US, trying to let them 'take the heat', and figuring that if they (we) are stupid enough to pay this nut off, too bad for us.

I am glad Bush is ignoring him. And that little "test" we made yesterday ought to give them pause for thought.

Wanna do a little muscle flexing, shrimp? Check this!!

I don't think north korea is really too much of a threat right now for the US. They've got bigger, more stable powers acting as a calming influence, Russia and China wouldn't want North Korea to go nuking anyone, if they did, they'd have a few nukes flying back to North Korea, and I don't think China and Russia don't want that on their doorstep, so they'll temper North Korea.  North Korea is nothing to be worried about in my opinion...

Hmmm... everyone wants to talk with us, so let's play hard to get:

From CNN:

> CONCERN AS N. KOREA QUITS TALKS

The United Nations Command in South Korea has described as "unfortunate" an
announcement from the North Korean military that it will no longer participate
in a weekly cross-border dialogue.

Well can you blame them after watching the inspectors in Iraq being hurried off.... in anycase, they already said that they are reacting the nuclear plant, what is the point of inspections?

From CNN:

N. KOREA REFUSES NUKE INSPECTIONS

North Korea will not concede to international pressures for nuclear
inspections, fearing the same fate as Iraq, according to a newspaper editorial
published Saturday.

Actually no, I don't blame them or anyone.
I can see their viewpoint.
Here is this monolith looming over the landscape, with unlimited nuclear power, the originator of all biochem weapons and literally tons of every kind known to man, demanding that some little pea-sized country disarm because they pose a threat?

What threat? What about you? You're pointing a twenty megaton pistol at me and wanting me to get rid of mine?

Hooey on you, Jack!!
