You made me smile with your response this morning farseer. I agree it is looking like some underling politics are at play here. Perhaps to try and bring the UN in to play in keeping China in line. Do we really want them playing in nukes?

I doubt any source in the world can keep China "in line." I think China will do as it pleases, and the world can do nothing but watch. I also think that China, sooner or later, will get tired of playing the game and will want to exert itself as a world-class power, and there will be no stopping them. If it comes to war, it will be long, bloody, and merciless. All this fiddling around in the Middle East will be like child's play in comparison. The U.S. Would do well to step cautiously, in my opinion.

I have to agree with you FarSeer. China does what it wants when it wants too. I think they respect the US and the power that we hold but I doubt that will stop them if they want to do something. Playing around with nukes is not something I am surprised with.
Given their mind set and manpower China is a very powerful country. Military toys can be assembled fast enough I am sure. I think political strategies will be required and proper recognition would be wise for long term peace. The world stag is being set and the outcome will be interesting even if dangerous.

Ambassador Jon Huntsman Jr. Blasts media over Obama's China trip
BEIJING - Washington's ambassador to Beijing hit out Friday at negative U.S. Media coverage of President Barack Obama's visit to China, saying it failed to take into account important progress on many issues. Although producing no breakthroughs on key issues, Obama's first state visit to the Asian giant that ended Wednesday was heralded by both sides as a success. Ref. Source 7
