I have my suspicions on this whole Syria chemical attack on their own people thing. We know the Syrian army was already winning so why would they now do that. It does sound like a last ditch effort by the rebels.

Clothing and soil samples collected after an August 21 chemical weapons attack in Syria have tested positive for sarin, the UK prime minister's office said today.
The samples, tested at a British laboratory, were taken from a person who reportedly was treated after the attack. The UK is sharing the information with the United Nations, the office said. Ref. CNN

Russian President Vladimir Putin says in a friendly meeting with President Barack Obama they talked about Syria, but "We stuck to our guns."
Putin said they had a "Constructive" Meeting at the G20 conference.
"He doesn't agree with me, I don't agree with him. But we listened to each other," Putin told reporters in St. Petersburg. He said they also talked about ways to solve the Syrian crisis peacefully. Ref. CNN
