There was quite a big powercut in London tonight. It affected the London Underground and some traffic lights above ground.
I only heard about it on the news and there's a debate going on about it now. The cause is unknown at this point and there's going to be an enquiry.
This comes not long after the big black out in America, wonder if they're just coincidence?

I was going to post about it, but then I thought... 'Nah, someone will get to it eventually' Anyway, besides your coincidence how about the fact that Blair was supposed to testify too

From what i've heard on the news today there was a power failure in Kent and then not long afterwards another one in Wimledon. Because our system has not been updated and is old it does not work aswell as it should. There used to be a powerstation that could cope with running the underground but it was closed down recently, so we do not have a backup source of power anymore! They had to divert power from North London to the south.
They also said it is likely to happen again - espically in the winter because of more electrical use. I really hope it doesn't happen again because i'll be at Uni then and will be using the underground to travel on and I don't wanna get stuck inside a train deep in the underground :-/ or stuck in the middle of London with no way of getting home!
With the recent events in Italy one has to wonder if these things aren't somehow planned since they seem to be 'one after the other'?
