How can I change the look of my menu so it is similar to this site?

You will need to edit the index.template, but which menu are you referring to, because we actually have two parts: the map menu and the one that opens a window.

I like the one where you can see it with images, can we get that on my forum but with some kind of hover effect so it lights up?

The one here was done with an image map that makes the co-ordinates link. You will need to create an image as the base and then hover images for the roll over effect. You can always Email me if you want me to add that for you.

I like what you did with mine thanks it has the best of both worlds. I might be looking at doing something similar on a couple of my other sites.
