Isabel ... are you in her path?

I know some people here are definitely going to be affected; how is everyone preparing...does this one seem more frightening than others?

Not me... who else might be affected? Fortunate for Trinidad, we are not in the hurricane belt, we do not have any volcanos, whirlwinds or any natural disasters really. Even earthquakes are a rare occurence, but I think crime and other factors make up for that. I do not envy those in other islands that have to go through that.

I for one will be affected.  How strong she stays (she's been downgraded) or how changes course will determine how much.  It looks better for us now but yesterday they were predicting another possible Andrew type storm.  If it hits land in Georgia - latest prediction - we will get rains and wind.  A little further south and it'll be interesting.

I admit I would have thought Trinidad would have gotten rain and outfall if the storm stayed south of Florida - which it probably isn't going to do.  I guess I don't judge map distances well.

I don't know if I'll be affected by Isabel or not.  If we do, we will probably just get rain here, in Mississippi.  Usually, what is left over from the hurricane spawns off tornado weather here.  I just hope it won't be like the last time we had the leftovers of a hurricane come through.  Strong violent storms, hail, strong wind, and severe flooding.  :o
