This game is arguably one of the biggest and most exciting game in the world and has one of the fiercest rivalries between any two teams from the whole sporting world.
They are both tied on 18 league titles and this year will see Manchester United overtake Liverpool for the first time ever if they win the title this season.
However I cannot help thinking this game would be better off being held up as Liverpool are on a bad run with 4 losses and have not scored in any of them. Also they have £20million signing Aquilani injured and problems with £22million Fernando Torres and also Steven Gerrard is in doubt.
Surely this game deserves both the teams to be at full power if it is deciding such a important historical moment.
I realise there is no rule for such a postponement and so will be hoping for a freak snow storm or heavy rain to cancel it.
What a brilliant game. Despite not having the leadership of Steven Gerrard or the £20million Aquilani, Liverpool lead by Fernando Torres who played with painkiller injections managed to wint he game 2-0.
It was a result that has gave hope to Liverpool, if they lost the gap would be 10 points, now it is merely 4. Also it has been revealed American owners George Gillet and Tom Hicks planned to terminate manager Benitez contract unless he did win.
The game was exciting and very dramatic, it had literally everything. Two amazing goals, two red cards for a player of each side, controversial penalty decisions, former Liverpool player Michael Owen playing for Manchester United.
Anybody unfamiliar with British football who does not think that it is as exciting as other sports should watch a tape of this game, and you will fall in love.
