I have seen other costumes that do not make women look slutty at all. One just has to shop around and not pick the first store they go to to get their costume. IF women want to be slutty then by all means get that costume.

I don't think it can be argued there IS a prevalence of "slutty" costumes for women, far more than anything for men - very definitely ones intending to either objectify or at least exaggeratedly satirize the objectifying, which don't keep them from also doing the same thing. My cousin's girlfriend was picking between a few costumes and also came up with options like "slutty nurse" and "prostitute" or something equally inappropriate (in my opinion) - like she couldn't find anything else, and she's one of those nice, well-spoken, plain but good natured girls that you just don't associate with that sort of costume, which kind of made me feel bad, her maybe not realizing how unfair that was for her.
