Judge to Impose Death Penalty for Peterson
Looks like Mr. Peterson, will in fact, be sentenced to death, as the judge has indicated he will be imposing the jury-recommended death penalty. I, for one, am for the death penalty, and think there are too many arguments against him in this case to have not found him guilty. The question now will be how long before he is actually put to death.

I really don't think he should have been found guilty. This doesn't mean I think he didn't do it or did do it. I don't think there was enough evidence to prove he did it beyond any reasonable doubt. I think I am a reasonable person and I saw reason for some doubt. In such a case, the person must be found not guilty (which doesn't mean innocent).
The US system of justice is based upon the premise that it is better to allow 10 guilty people to walk free than it is to hold one innocent person. I truly believe this. Yet, often juries convict people who have not committed the crime. Then years later, DNA evidence or a confession by the victim or the actual criminal show us that the person convicted and sent to jail didn't do it. If juries truly only convicted when there was no room left for any reasonable person to find some doubt at all, then I don't see how this could happen. Obviously, this isn't always the standard juries use. I don't think this is the standard the Peterson jury used.
While on that subject, this jury definately had some issues. Two were dismissed during the trial. In at least one case, the dismissed juror was leaning towards not guilty. I wonder if that is, in part, why the juror was dismissed. On the day of the sentencing two of the jurors actually made some taunting comments directed towards Scott to the media. They didn't sound like impartial, reasonable jurors to me. They sounded quite immature and emotional like they were less than impartial in their decision. When one has just convicted someone of a capital offense such as murder, I would expect them to take the matter a bit more seriously than these two did. Tena, based on the case itself...what doubts do you have that he did not do it?. Did you read all the conversation transcripts he had with his lover?. Did you read the police reports of the day his wife dissapeared and the police went to check out the house?...he did not even mentioned once his concern about his pregnant wife dissapearance..he was more concerned about the door hitting the furniture, the same with his truck. Did you read the testimony of the travel agent who was the last person to speak with Laci before she was murdered?...she was calling to get a plane ticket and get out of there! ....yet Mr. Peterson said they were a very happy couple and that Laci know about his relationship with the blonde girl, yet she was "okay" with it.
His half sister and other relatives described him as very "cheerful" while his wife and unborn son were missing...he would joke around like any normal day...for heaven's sake! your pregnant wife is missing and you have no care in the world!. Now, you may say...everyone handles emotions differently and that's true until I read the transcript of a journalist who called him and leave a message on his answer machine telling him that she may have a lead to where his wife is...and you can hear Scott Peterson laughing and mocking the journalist while listening to this message and making a comment like "Anne (or whatever her name is) go to hell" or something of that nature and erased the message and never contacted the journalist again...
Two weeks after his wife dissapearance, he was so concerned about it that he upgraded his porn channels something that he did not have when Laci was at the house...these are only a few of the things that proves he did it...not only he killed her but he has not remorse whatsoever for what he has done. A truly evil man.

I don't think he should have been tried for killing the baby. Abortion is legal. So to the government babies aren't human until born. How can it be o.k. for the mother to kill a baby before it is born but not the father? Both have the same rights to the baby. That is why his death sentence will end up as life in prison.

PRISON: TWO WOMEN WANT TO MARRY PETERSON
On Scott Peterson's first day on death row, two women called California's San Quentin State Prison to say they were interested in marrying him, according to prison officials.

I am not surprised...these women have done the same thing when he was in the other prison *shaking head*. This guy has been convicted of murdering his pregnant wife! Like Steve Harvey would say "What's wrong with you people?!". I want to believe these women are mentally unstable because if they are not, then they need to be in a mental institution.

They're not mentally unstable. They're doing this for the fame of being the one who married Scott Peterson. It's all a publicity stunt in my opinion.
As for the list of curious things that Scott did after his wife was missing, here's one for you. After his wife was missing, the first call to his mother-in-law, he told her Laci's missing, instead of asking her if she had seen Laci. If someone was missing, wouldn't you call friends and family and ask whether they had seen them instead of telling them they're missing?
