All I can say is that the US is tired of war. So if there is going to be a war with Iran, the UN is going to have to start it and we all know that that wont happen. Look at the candidates for the presidency. Is anyone running on a pro-Iran war platform? Definitely not. As a matter of fact, all candidates are running on a platform of getting out of the war business and that is because the US is tired of it for a while. So no matter who wins, we are looking to get out of the war business for a while and that is candidates from either side. Of course, if the UN invades Iran, the US will support with troops, but it will not be the US invading anyone anytime soon.
You will probably say that our president taunts the Iranians with threats of possible war. Of course, we cannot say that you have a green light to do as you please. The only thing we have right now is the threat of a invasion and we have to play that card to slow them down...but it wont stop them. Just like it didnt stop NK.
Could there be war? Yes and the scenario that I see that could escalate to a war quickly would be a Isreali first strike on that power plant. Under that condition, the whole area could be totally unhinged. As far as Venezuela is concerned, I really only see them as a instigator that can send its one resource around the world (OIL) as they choose and Iran has its fair share of that resource. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Well that is assuming if the Democrats are as friendly towards Israel as the Republicans are now. However you should take a look at the Military Tactics Board where there are a couple of "What If" posts about how this can play out. Your view is definitely noted.

The release is no "gift" but the result of negotiations. This is not making the mainstream media:

Other predictions had said that Iran would use the sailors as a "human shield" to prevent a direct attack. I'm rather glad that it didn't happen that way.

My mention of 'gift' was sarcastic. It is obvious that a Muslim extremeist leader will care nothing for a Christian holiday in which they give tribute to a Jew in history.
What I am interested in is the truth from the soldiers... were they really in Iranian seas? Were they really treated well? Why did they apologize?

It was a simple convienent way to get out of a mess that they realized they shouldn't have gotten into in the first place. They needed a way out and a Easter gift was a nice way to extradite themselves from the situation before it got to a point where they couldn't back out of without losing face.
