I"d never buy brand new technology, or drugs. For technology, that brand new system might not sell very well, like the HD players, the HD players, and their discs, got beat out by Blueray, and even the future of Blueray isn't very clear. I would wait, at least, 5 to 10 years for buying a 3-D TV, one reason is cost, and the other is to see how viable the technology is. There is no doubt that 3-D technology has improved, several top movies, like Avatar, are shot in 3-D, but with all the expenses involved in shooting a 3-D movie, like special cameras, the special 3-D glasses, and the other unseen expenses, I just see 3-D as a fad that will quickly fizzle out.
