Wow, maybe he should have interviewed someone who actually knew what he is talking about. First, to say that our military isn't ready is insane. He said that what Russia did in Syria we couldn't repeat. Uh, it's what we did in Afghanistan and with less people. And to say that the Russian air force is capable of more sorties than our air force is also sheer lunacy. During each successive war we flew more sorties per plane than any other nation. And our pilots are better trained… not because we are super people, but because we have the money to spend to keep our pilots trained. They spend more hours flying than other nation. So this guy can say what he wants but he is wrong about our military being unready.

Now, regarding the scary specter of nuclear war, he is correct, we are wholly unprepared. But to say that Russia is ready is ludicrous. What country in the world is ready for something they don't know what will look like? The only time in history nuclear weapons were used they were used one at a time with days between them. They were also much smaller weapons. If a nuclear war were to start now there would be literally thousands of much stronger weapons going off in one day. Who really knows what will happen. One thing I can say for certain, there will be no winner, only losers. Heck, the countries that stay out of it may not even be winners as nuclear ash literally rains down around the world, poisoning water and crops.

What is scary is that maybe the Russians think like him and that they think they could win a nuclear war. Now, that is a scary thought because then they would actually think about starting one.
