House Intelligence Committee will release Facebook ads purchased by Kremlin-linked groups. Facebook has turned over about 3,000 ads to the committee as part of a probe of Russian efforts to influence the U.S. Election in 2016. Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Texas, who is leading the panel's Russia investigation, said the committee will release the ads, but probably not before a Nov. 1 public hearing the committee is holding with executives from Facebook, Twitter and Google. Russian efforts to meddle in American politics did not end at Facebook and Twitter. A CNN investigation of a Russian-linked account shows its tentacles extended to YouTube, Tumblr and even Pokémon Go.
One Russian-linked campaign posing as part of the Black Lives Matter movement used Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr and Pokémon Go and even contacted some reporters in an effort to exploit racial tensions and sow discord among Americans, CNN has learned.
The campaign, titled “Don’t Shoot Us,” offers new insights into how Russian agents created a broad online ecosystem where divisive political messages were reinforced across multiple platforms, amplifying a campaign that appears to have been run from one source -- the shadowy, Kremlin-linked troll farm known as the Internet Research Agency. No matter the opinions one thing is clear, Russia is the enemy and we must never mistaken their words or their 'kind gestures out of the bottom of their caring heart' as trying to be our friend because our ideals are very different and far removed.

Putin boasts that Russia has developed a missile that can't be intercepted by U.S. Defenses. Russian President Vladimir Putin boasted Thursday that his country has developed a nuclear-powered missile with an unlimited range that is also completely immune to enemy intercept. Speaking during an annual state-of-the-nation speech in Moscow, Putin said the cruise missile is capable of penetrating any missile defense and can reach virtually any target around the world. "No defense systems will be able to withstand it," he said. Putin unveiled what he claimed was Russia's new advanced weapons technology while delivering a warning to the United States over its pursuit of anti-missile defense systems. "Efforts to contain Russia have failed, face it," he said. Ref. USAToday.
