Trump orders expulsion of dozens of Russian diplomats.
President Donald Trump is ordering the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats and the closure of the Russian consulate in Seattle in the wake of the UK nerve agent attack, the White House announced Monday.
The President is taking the action in response to the poisonings of a former Russian double agent and his daughter in England, the administration announced. Ref. CNN.

Trump says he misspoke and offers support for US intelligence agencies
President Donald Trump voiced support Tuesday for US intelligence agencies, a day after he refused to accept their findings on Russia's election meddling over the denials of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and he vowed to take action to prevent further interference.
Trump said that when he returned from the summit with Putin in Helsinki, Finland, he "Realized there is some need for clarification" about his remarks on Russian interference in the 2016 election.
"In a key sentence in my remarks I said the word 'would' instead of 'wouldn't,'" Trump said.
Democrats quickly rejected the President's comments.
"If the President can’t say directly to President Putin that he is wrong and we are right and our intelligence agencies are right, it’s ineffective, and worse, another sign of weakness," said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Ref. CNN.
