If you are in the jungle and fear that you may be attacked by an elephant do not try to run or turn your back as the elephant will persue and most likely over power you quickly as they are quite intelligent and fast. The best chance you have is to stand your ground and make yourself as big as possible by waving your hands in circles and making loud noises to show you are not afraid (even if you are). If all goes well the elephant will back down.
