Jerry Springer

Here's a thought.  I was watching the news and I heard that Jerry Springer was running for a Senator seat in the state of Ohio.  Is he serious?  : *smile*  Not believing what I heard, I did a little research on it and much to my surprise, he is seriously considering running.  He wasn't going to make a final decision until the end of July.

He was quoted saying, "I could be an incredible voice in the Senate," Springer said Saturday at a meeting of the Ohio Young Democrats. "Why? Because the media will cover me every single day."

Believe it or not, he even used to be a mayor in Cincinnati.  But to go from politics, to trash talk show host, and back to politics, wouldn't he have problems with him getting votes?  With his television talk show has guests throw chairs and spew obscenities.  It's more like watching a 'street fighting match' than watching a talk show.

Ok, here's my question.  If Jerry Springer were to decide to run for Senate, could he be elected to a senate seat?  Why or why not?

Me, I don't know if he would be elected or not.  Him already having experience in politics as being a mayor could help him.  But his 12 year running Jerry Springer Show (Which shows nothing but trash talking people throwing chairs and trying to start fights) could possibily hurt his chances for election.  Even if he was a good politician before, I think it would be hard for Springer to rise above his talk show.

Nah, he will never be elected because he's too open about how he really is and his talk show, that will be terrible in his career as a polititian. So he can dream as much as he wants, I am sure he will never win.

Talk show host Jerry Springer, who brings the kinky and the tacky into living rooms each day, said Wednesday he will not return to politics by running for U.S. Senate next year.

"As long as I'm doing that show, my message, no matter how sincere and no matter how heartfelt, does not get through to the people I need to reach," he said.

And now Arnold Schwarzenegger is running for Governor of California! Don't bet against this one. A previous B-grade actor has made it in California and on to the White House. And funny how Arnold is a Republican and he starred in movies like Collateral Damage, Terminator1, 2, 3 .... all slam bang genre.

Sorry, that was a little dig at Bush.

Yes, Fireduck, I can't believe it.  :  He announced it on the Jay Leno Show this evening.  I just posted about that in the Arnold thread in the entertainment section too.  lol
