SMF Version 1 Or 2

Just wondering, should I open a couple more version 1 SMF boards or should I go with version 2 although its not recommened to be used on a live site?

Personally I will stick with SMF 1, they're at 1.1.10 now. Version 2 is still undergoing many changes and when it goes official for live production I'm sure there will be many more changes.

I agree with Jean, reading about lots of bugs and issues that need ironing out. I'm waiting to upgrade.

TK, many clients have been asking me this same thing. There is no need to rush into moving over to SMF 2. I will only do it if the SMF people were discontinuing security updates on SMF version 1 which is not the case. Plus as Djso mentioned there is still a lot to be worked out. We have about 23 sister sites that use SMF 1.10 with modifications and no problem.

SMF 1 is officially no longer supported based on this: Source 4t so if you are still using SMF 1 it is time to upgrade.
