Mother cries as charges read out

A 21-year-old mother cried in the dock as she pleaded guilty to a charge of neglecting two children and another charge of ill-treating the children by taking part in an armed flight from police. Ref. Source 1

So these two bright people fled in a car from police while their children or her children were in the car? I think that her pleading guilty was in her best interests. I hope that she can learn from her mistakes and take better care of her children once she can get them back.
