ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN TO EXPIRE MONDAY
Ten years after it was born out of the carnage of three California mass
shootings, the federal assault weapons ban is fading out of existence Monday.

Now Gun makers can no longer be blamed, these long standing debates show that the people of the United States have the right to have guns, so if they want to go out and buy one how can you possibly say it is the gun maker's fault.

I have always enjoyed gun debates like this. All it takes is one loose nut behind the trigger and the gun can be a very dangerous weapon. As far as all who think it is the guns fault place a loaded gun on a table. Step back from it and tell it to kill someone. I bet it will just lay there. That proves the fact that guns do not kill people. Therefore the manufacturer of the firearm should not held responsible.
It is and always will be people killing people not guns. The firearm is just a tool for the loose nut.

Comments: I'm sorry but, by the same token would you make auto manufacturers responsible for highway fatalities? What has happened to taking responsibility for our own actions? We seem to have denied personal responsibility in recent years. The owner of a firearm becomes responsible for damage done by his/her weapon the moment he/she takes possession of it. He/she must insure that it can be obtained only by those parties he/she is willing to trust. He/she must insure that it is stored safely and securely. The government makes provision for background checks in some localities. This, I think is proper and as it should be; however we MUST assume responsibility, if we are to use the privilege!
