Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombs - Page 8

international QUOTE (Oralloy @ 10-Aug 10, 8:28 AM)
There wouldn't have been a problem in any generations born after 1946. The only abnormalities were in fetuses that were exposed to the pulse of radiation at the moment the bombs exploded.

If that's the case, it doesn't make the whole thing less horrific or more acceptable.

We mess up big time!

Apology tour FAIL: Japan denies Obama

If there's anything America shouldn't have to apologize for, it's defending itself in World War II after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. But a new WikiLeak reveals that President Obama sought to do just that - apologize to Japan for dropping a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima. Japan said thanks, but no thanks. Ref. Source 5

Bombs Nagasaki Hiroshima

international QUOTE
I honestly believe the use of the atomic bomb saved lives in the long run. There were a lot of lives saved. Most of the lives saved were Japanese.

I disagree. There is no way any lives were saved. Those two bombs murdered over 200,000 Japanese--not just soldiers, but women and children too!

Using atomic bombs against Japan may have ended World War II. But, it also began the countdown toward the world's destruction. The consequences for creating those infernal bombs and using them are still yet to come.

President Barack Obama will become the first sitting U.S. President to visit Hiroshima, Japan, the White House announced Tuesday.

The trip fulfills Obama's intent, expressed early in his presidency, to visit the location where an American atomic bomb attack killed tens of thousands of Japanese civilians at the end of World War II. Ref. CNN.
