Ridiculous! Who is going to believe that non-sense? rolleyes.gif A Full investigation should take place to determine the source of that money...it smells badly to bribe.

Well Argentina has her first female President. I wonder if after the five years (or is it four) the husband will run for his seat again? An interesting way to skip the law of consecutive terms.

Well Argentina has her first female President.

Actually it's not. Isabel Peron (second wife of Juan Domingo Peron) was also an Argentine President (74-76) but do not let me talk about her. rolleyes.gif

Was she actually sworn in as President or merely sanding in the position for her husband?

In Argentine's law, once the President dies the Vice-President takes over. During Juan Domingo's Peron third term as President, she was serving as his Vice-President so when he passed away, she took over. Nevertheless, in order to do that she had to sworn as President.

By the way, she was the third wife of Peron not the second one as I stated earlier. She is currently under house arrest in Madrid, pending extradition to Argentina because of charges against her related to missing people in the 70's.

Then your current President is the first elected lady as opposed to just being a lady of succession.
