Bush International Airport? I am sure everyone in the Arab World will love to hear that! :spock:
Here are some interesting facts and things from Deseret News:
U.S. TO INTENSIFY ATTACKS
With sandstorms finally over and a new front opened in the north, U.S.
commanders said Thursday they would swiftly intensify attacks on Iraqi forces.
In the south, a captured Iraqi airfield was renamed "Bush International
Airport," while a British armored unit destroyed Iraqi tanks outside the
besieged city of Basra.

WHAT LEVEL OF CASUALTIES ARE AMERICANS WILLING TO ACCEPT?
In the climactic, four-week Battle of the Bulge in World War II, 19,000
Americans were killed. On a single day, Sept. 17, 1862, at least 3,650
Confederate and Union soldiers died in the Battle of Antietam. At the height of
the Vietnam War, roughly 200 Americans were killed each week[.

THOUGH IRAQ IS FOCUS, TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN STILL IN DANGER
They are a fraction of the U.S. strength assembled in Iraq, and the enemy is
more of a guerrilla force than disciplined troops. But Afghanistan remains a
treacherous theater for American troops waging war against terrorism.

Another show of cockiness and arrogance? Such display will not endear Bush to the many neighboring Arab nations. The Americans should really show some decency, not ugliness. Just rename the airfield to something like Marine Airbase 1, or some other neutral theme. Now it looks like the real ulterior motives are being more explicitly displayed --- the colonisation of the Arab world.
What next? Another airfield being captured and renamed Blair International? Howard International and what's-the-Spanish-leader's-name International? Naw, George Bush would be too accomodating then.
What a lack of respect to do something like that. I do understand they're in war but those kind of stupidness are not good in my opinion. It doesn't help or bring anything good. What's the purpose to name an airfield Bush International Airport? : That kind of arrogance bothers me the most about Americans, they don't even have the decency to put away that at this time of war. What the heck is wrong with this people?

In following up with my previous post about the web attack:
From CNN:
AL-JAZEERA WEB SITE HACKED
Hackers on Thursday replaced the English-language Web site for Arab satellite
television network Al-Jazeera with a U.S. flag and the message "Let Freedom
Ring."
Jeez, where is your sense of perspective?
It is our perspective that helps us to see this masquerade for what it is. Hence, 'every idle word spoken shall be...'
That "Bush International" business is the gallows humor of soldiers in the field
Humor??? you're killing people every day and there is supposed to be something fun about it?!!!!! gimme a break! This people are sickening, desgusting...the lowest of the lowest. . Now, if you want to justify that kind of humor, then go ahead...but those soldiers's behaviour was wrong!.
What they're going to do next? send a missile and kill 300 civilians and laugh about it? :

You are both very nice people, and I know your intentions are honorable, so I'm not going to start an argument over this.
Those "horrible" soldiers you're talking about are young, 20 yr old kids for the most part, trying to keep their heads on straight while getting shot at.
If they are less than sensitive under combat conditions, I, at least understand it.
It was a private joke, probably meant as a jibe at Bush himself, that some reporter overheard and printed.
