I feel no such compulsion. It's their language, and I am not inclined to given them instructions in either Arabic or Islam. They chose the word. It has a nice ring to it.
The only duty I have is to cram it down their throats.

This statement goes in line with the Bin Laden Friend or Foe thread... because on one hand you want to use their land and resources, but at the same time you do not care to even use their words in the proper context. Now go smoke that in your pipe. (Not that I encourage smoking)

makes it abundantly clear the U.S. will not enter into any negotiations
with the Iraqi regime to end the war. "For the senior leadership," he
announced, "there is no way out."  The U.S. will accept nothing short of a
full surrender. Bury, anchoring from Washington, may be talking with one
of our military consultants about the dangers that still lie ahead for
U.S. troops as they prepare to move into Baghdad proper.
