Where are you Chemical Ali? Looks like the only chemicals that have been used in this war is bug spray in the kitchen? maybe they are waiting for everything to calm down and then start a Isreal/Palestine problem of bombings? Also, A US general will be in charge of Iraq for awhile (answerable to the Pentagon) I wonder how the Arab world must like to hear that. Hate must be at its max for the US/UK.
I hope they catch the dreaming information minister alive. I would like to hear him explain his concept of Iraq always surrounding the US forces.
From CNN:

Maybe buried under his house after they bombed it.

Don't you just know it. Plus we have learned that much of the Arab press has been paid by you-know-who to put out reports saying Iraq was winning, fighting fiercely, etc.
I also note that one of the Saudi princes restated Saudi Arabia's alliance with the US (this morning), and further stated he has no intention of pulling his billions out of our stock market. Food for thought?

Oh, so do I!

That was pretty much wrapped up yesterday. The Brits finally went in and pretty much cleaned house.

Sound a lot like Americans, don't they? ;D ;D ;D
Frankly, I have suspected that the Saudis have secretly supported the Americans all along.
They have become the wealthiest of all the nations, and it wouldn't hurt their interests in the slightest to have American troops close by.
They are not about Islam at all, although I am sure the royal family pays the proper lip service to it.
They could care less about the Palestinians, were the first to denounce Osama, exiling him because he was a pampered rich kid who had nothing better to do than listen to radical BS and make trouble (kind of like our college kids). The only reason they didn't throw him in jail is because of his family.
They spout the "proper" Arab brother line and hang out with western billionaires.
We have troops in Saudia Arabia, and our ADC was based there for this conflict.
To further prove my point here is this article from ArabNews:
Exclusive: Syria's Bashar Can't Have It Both Ways
Adrienne McPhail, worthington90@cybernet.it Syria is showing two different faces to its Arab neighbors and to the world; they are playing a perilous game. This past week Syrian President Bashar Assad said that he hoped US forces would fail to oust Saddam Hussein. Secretary of State Colin Powell said Syria now faces a critical...

An interesting viewpoint:
From Arab News:
Exclusive: An Anglo-American Miscalculation!
Dr. Khaled M. Batarfi, Kbatarfi@al-madina.com
I told some friends a few weeks before the war on Iraq started that I was optimistic things would end well. They asked: How could that be, when the invaders are banging on Hell's gate threatening to smash it open at any moment? I said: Because those who open the gates of Hell will be the first to be burned there.
Two weeks into the war, I reiterate again that the US and allies will only leave the swamp of Iraq after being taught a lesson like that of Vietnam - a lesson they forgot after their victory in the Second Gulf War and the Balkans wars (just) and the unjust Afghanistan invasion.
My reasons for this optimism are:
First: America has forgotten that great wars are not waged unilaterally. In each major war fought and won, America led a large international coalition, giving it legal and political cover and distributing the cost among participants.
Second: America has military superiority in conventional warfare. However, this is only useful when the goal is to kill and destroy, then leave. But in a war for occupation, you might need to fight your way into cities.

Four things I note.
First Bashar Assad is a member of the Baath Party. He has already been warned. Now he had better get a grip on reality.
Second, Dr. Batarfi is a lousy military analyst(at best) and has a poor assessment of recent US actions in foreign countries (Afganistan).
Third, he makes the same mistake that all the war's critics insist on making, by saying that the US undertook this action "unilaterally".
All those who weren't in favor of it saying we did it unilaterally because we didn't get their permission.
Fourth, for the umpteenth time, was has no legal basis or foundation whatsoever, for crying out loud.
