Comments: Long ago a man whose name I can't remember said, "All that is necessary for evil to succeed for good men to do nothing." If you're bad, the military will straiten you out. In the Great Continuation of the World War, the U.S. Army raised 12,000,000 men to destroy the enemy of the Constitution. Imagine an army even larger and more powerful (with todays larger population). The military needs young men and women to train and transform into the indestructible steel of America's Resolve.

Comments: It truly disgusts me that in a country deemed to be the "leader" of the "free" world we have forgotten what it is that makes us not only free but a world leader. People should have options and they should have the right to choose whether or not military service is right for them.
I don't see how this can even be considered in a nation where we owe China a big debt and people are homeless, most of which are veterans!

Comments: Now my opinion on mandatory military services is I think it is totally unnecessary. I don't see how someone could come up with the idea that sending kids who don't want to be a part of the military to have to be in the military. The military is a job and like most jobs you have the choice of whether you want to work there or not. When you reach the age 18 you are an adult and you get to make your own decisions so making these people go to the military is unconstitutional according to the 13th amendment which states involuntary servitude is abolished, so they have a choice on what they want to do in their life.
I would like to know what people think about madatory military servives because I believe that there too many people in this country that are lazy and behelping out in another country. I also believe there are too many people that sit around and talk about how messed up our armed forced are and how they wont do anything about it when you tell thenm to shut up about it or join it. And I was out at an restraunt the other day and I told a complete stranger to shut up.
Well, first of all I don't think is a good thing to be telling strangers to shut up. Too many sickos out there for you to do something that crazy. Anyhow, just because people think our forces are messed up doesn't mean they must join or stay quiet. Our right of expression is safeguarded in our constitution. I admire those who go out and fight for our country but I don't believe people should be forced to do it (I kind of have mixed feelings about it). We boast in liberty and freedom then how in the world could we demand others to serve the country?

I have seen girls go to the emergency room for a broken nail. Now tell me that is pathetic just to watch because of a finger nail and she was just coming out of the manicure place. Now lots of tough love in the military would do wonders about it. Besides if you retire you get great benefits and the armed forces pay for college so there is another issue gone.
As a disabled combat veteran I would not want to see the USA have a mandatory service requirement. We have a great military and it is made up of those who truly want to be in the service. IF we made everyone sign up for 2-4 years of service our military as a whole will suffer. Having a person who does not belong or does not wish to be in the service makes them a liability and not a asset when your depending on them to help you survive.
No we do not need to have a mandatory service requirement in the USA military.
