Like I said before in another thread. If what happened in 9/11 didn't happen then nothing of this will be going on....ONLY because american interests and lives have been lost then the US government decides to fight a war against 'terrorism' or do you all think terrorism is a new phenomenon?? No, it has been going on for years years and years! and who thought about the lives of all those people who were killed before? NOBODY!!!!!!!

Sometimes you completely miss the point of what I am saying.
I was not trying to imply anything derogatory about other  countries.

What I was saying is the sheer massiveness of this country's economy is hard to fathom, even for us.
Until I happened to read that, it never really dawned on me.

Think about it. Women here spend more on makeup than some countries can spend on their entire military budget.

If I were a general that would give me the shivers.

And Xtra, we didn't lose the Korean conflict.

It's LDS by the way. I don't miss the point of what you're saying. I know perfectly what you're trying to say, I'm just fed up of how the USA seems to think about our countries, it makes sick, but I don't pretend you can fully understand that. But just imagine yourself in the shoes of a non-american who is fed up of stupid people who think that because you don't live in the USA you live in the jungle. Example: I know online several people who are from the caribbean and they lived in the USA now. They get the most ignorant, insulting and absurd questions I have ever heard from americans like 'Is there restaurants in Trinidad?' : Do they have CARS in St. Vincent?

I know what you mean, I think the USA are such a blessed nation on riches, other countries cannot even spend that on a bullet like you mentioned before.

Many times I am making abstract observations that have nothing to do with the relative intelligence or cultural development of other people- or anything of that nature.
