San Diego's bid to host World Cup soccer matches in 2018 or 2022 moved forward yesterday despite criticism from two City Council members that the city doesn't know what it's getting into. Ref. Source 2

I think it will be nice to host some world cup matches in a US city. I think the San Diego is a good choice with so many mexicans living there.
