Cuchulain Introduction

My name is Kevin (aka Cuchulain pronoucned Coo-hoo-lan). I'm an aspiring writer, with many published works under my belt [..] and I'm currently working on a novel with 8 chapters completed and over 75 pages written. With that said, I'm here mainly because I want to gain access to the medieval rpg forum partly to hone my skills as a writer but mainly to have fun! I'm also hope to be travelling to Scotland this Summer so I would like to talk to some Scottish people if I can . And I guess that's all. Thanks in advance for welcoming me!

Welcome Ta Ye Ole' Forum!

So, Ye be seeking Adventure eh? Ye be one after meh own heart. Meh mates have cut down several dragons in times past and we be always in serious need of an extra hand fer deeper darker dungeons of brilliant gold. Friend, get ready, cause we got to test yer abilities.

We be havin' two, count em' two types of Medieval Play By Post here:

Here's the first one: If ye be looking to get started with Dungeons & Dragons Play by Post then go HERE for the Thread that gives you the steps (Check first Post).

Here's the second one: If ye be looking to join 'The World of Medieval' (Custom Play by Post) then thou needest a minimum of 30 Constructive Posts within this here Community. Keep thy level of activity at 75% too, we be needed active adventurers here not those that sit and play with child toys. Get started, select a Board, a Topic and then share thy views until ye have yer 30 Posts under thy belt then return here and request RPGer Status.

A hundred pardons. You see, I didn't take it as advertising. I was merely trying to get constructive criticism of my work, that's all. In any case, don't you think it would've been better to deal with that issue through a pm rather then posting it on my introductory post? I feel that that's just rather rude, especially considering that you didn't even show me any common courtesy by welcoming me to the forum or any of that.

Honey, you're not one of those sensitive types are you? This is a mature community after all if you can't be corrected then maybe you're too soft for this place. You should know by now, because you read the rules before joining right? Well in any case, you're supposed to know that regular members don't have any PM access and Persephone does her job well.

I don't think that is normal in any kind of "mature" setting. But then again, maybe your right. Although I definitely don't think of myself as "soft", this is not the right place for me. Cheers!
