Well, I'm a Canadian who is engaged to a Trini. I intend to apply for residency here once we are wed, and can't wait to call Trinidad my home!
I found this site when I did a search on the immigration department of Trinidad, because I'm having difficulties getting a straight answer out of them regarding some issues. It seems that in the immigration office, just for something simple like an extension of stay, one person contradicts the next, and the official government website even contradicts the officers, and this site actually addresses some of the questions I have!
I'm finding the topics here really informative and I thank whoever dreamed it up.

Wow, thank you all for the welcome!
I did post a question before I became a member under the topic "Staying In Trinidad For A Year Or Two.." but after reading more topics, I was hooked! hehe
There is a LOT of info on this site, and it may take me a while to browse through it all
I hope as I get to explore Trinidad more and become more of a 'local' rather than a visitor, I will be able to offer answers as well as the many questions I will have.
