Disobedience is progress
Please consider the following quote and place your thoughts about it within your reply:
"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress had been made, through disobedience and through rebellion."
-- Oscar Wilde - (1854-1900)
I have to agree to an extent. Not constant, vulgarly, but when it becomes obviously appropriate, similar to the idea of revolution by the people being needed to put the tyranny of government that are no longer "of the people, for the people", or for civil rights that have been illegally denied to those being discriminated against, such as black people or other groups (gays?).
But it is definitely not something everyone is suited to, and it takes a special temperament to be a useful disobedient, able to take a stand, bring attention to an injustice or vital issue and prove an unmistakable point, without looking crazy or being an anarchist.
