In reply to TriniSpanish: If Tony were to move back to his native countryland, it would be the USA. His posting said he is moving or has moved from T&T to Switzerland, which is NOT his native country,albeit a nice move.I have known him for coming up on thirty years and knowing him so well you have to be able to distill the truth from his posting. I believe he is moving to Switzerland. He WAS living in T&T, a friend of mine nearby to me here in the USA got Tony's last rant e-mail from him posted from T&T with the ranting style so well displayed in his dramatic "goodbye" last posting. I could tell you so much more about him, but I'm thinking he has basically dumb lucked his way into a positive future.Anymore and I would start giving away too much of his personal life.His being robbed was a scary time for him, I am glad he was not injured.An earlier poster wondered how much he contributed to the situation of being robbed.Knowing my friend Tony as well as I do I would be willing to say more than you or I would contribute in the same quandary. T&T was NOT the first time in his life trouble has visited him,simply the first time in T&T and I am again glad he was unscathed as he was. Worse has happened to him to be very sure.

I'm glad he decided to move because who knows what could have happened next. The situation is beyond control and with little hope that it may change in the near future.

In reply to Lydia TT: What is out of control? Tony and his ability to stumble into harm's way, or a crime problem in T&T? Switzerland is a safe and orderly society. I wish my friend that I have known since he was a teen the very best. He does have at least his own full share of positive and negative baggage, and until he decides that shedding the baggage that perpetually lands him in trouble has a bigger payoff than retaining the baggage, nothing will change for my friend, whatever country on Earth he calls home. If T&T really does have that much of a crime problem it's good he has left for Switzerland. How does the citizen population cope if crime is that rampant?

I was referring to the crime situation here, I'm glad Tony is out. How people cope? They just try to be very careful but what else can one do? The country has been taken over. You can check the threads here about violence crime in T&T.

I am closing this Thread. This news was reported since 2009 and was meant to feature a crime and not to focus on the personal life of Tony Pike. The User Countrylife cannot be verified as to what he is saying, so there is no point in continuing this. Now the Thread is developing into a "What is crime like in T&T?" for which we already have many Threads here about that.
